What a site learns from your IP

Every connection online has a public IP address. From it, a site can guess your country, often your city, and which internet provider you use.

Ad networks see that same address on many sites, which makes it easier for them to tie your visits together.

Your IP with VPN Club on

While connected, websites get the VPN Club server's address, not yours. Switch servers and the country they see switches with it.

Connect, then reload this page to check the address.

Common questions

Do you keep a record of my IP?

No. The page displays the address and does not store it.

Why does it show the wrong country?

Location data comes from where the provider registered the address, so it may be off from where you really are. Work networks and other VPNs show their own location.

Can my IP address identify me?

Not by name on its own. Your provider's records can link it to your account, though, so it makes sense to hide it on public Wi-Fi and when abroad.
