Requirements · An Android TV or Google TV device on Android 8.0 or later.
Install and connect
- 1Buy a VPN plan with your VPN Club balance.
- 2Open the Downloads tab in your dashboard and look for the Android TV app.
- 3Open the link in the TV's browser, or put the file on a USB stick and open it in the TV's file manager.
- 4When the TV asks, allow installs from that source and install VPN Club.
- 5Start VPN Club and type your VPN Club ID and password with the on-screen keyboard.
- 6Move to a server with the remote and press Connect.
What you will find on the TV
The first screen shows where you connected last and a large connect button. The full list is sorted by region, and if your remote has a microphone you can say a country name to search.
Split tunneling is available on the TV as well. Leave the TV's built-in apps on your normal connection and send only the apps you pick through VPN Club.
A good starting setup
Use WireGuard. It puts less load on the TV's processor than OpenVPN, which you will notice on budget streaming sticks.
Turn on connect at startup. After a power cut or a restart, the TV rejoins the VPN without anyone opening the app.
If something goes wrong
More buffering with the VPN on? Try a city closer to you, or one near the service you are watching. Plugging the TV into Ethernet often helps more than changing VPN settings.
On some TVs the option to install apps from outside the store is tucked away. Check Device Preferences, then Security and restrictions, or look in your model's manual.
