Menu bar and main window
Click the menu bar icon to see whether you are connected and to jump back to a recent location. The main window holds the full server list, the protocol picker (WireGuard, OpenVPN, IKEv2), the kill switch and split tunneling.
With Plus or Pro you can also turn on ad and tracker blocking, malicious site blocking and Double VPN. The blocking is done on VPN Club's side, so Safari, Chrome and any other browser are covered without installing an extension.
A good starting setup
A MacBook that moves between home, work and cafes should have the kill switch on. Switching networks takes a few seconds, and the kill switch keeps that gap closed. WireGuard picks the connection back up fast after the lid has been shut.
AirPlay speakers and screens, shared folders on your home network and work tools that expect your office IP are good candidates for split tunneling. Everything not on that list keeps going through the VPN.
If something goes wrong
Nothing happens when you click Connect? The VPN configuration was probably never approved. In System Settings, open Network or VPN, delete the VPN Club entry and sign in to the app again. It will ask for permission a second time.
Antivirus tools and old VPN apps often leave their own network filters behind. If sites fail only while VPN Club is on, look through the network extensions in System Settings and switch off anything you no longer use.
