Double VPN: two servers in a row

Double VPN adds a second VPN Club server to the route before your traffic reaches the internet. It trades some speed for an extra layer, which is useful in a few specific situations.

Who knows what

Your device connects to the first server, and that server forwards the encrypted traffic to the second one. Websites only ever see the second server's IP address.

The first server can see where the connection started but not where it ends. The second server sees the destination but never your original IP. Neither server keeps logs.

The cost is speed

A longer route means pages take longer to open and latency rises. How much depends on where the two servers are and how far you are from the first one.

Routes that stay within your region keep the slowdown small. A route that crosses continents will feel clearly slower.

When it is worth it

Double VPN makes sense for sensitive work on a network you do not trust, or when you want more distance between your device and the sites you visit.

For daily browsing, streaming and games, stay on one server. A single server already encrypts your traffic and hides your IP, and it is faster.

Connecting with Double VPN

Double VPN comes with Plus and Pro. The server list has a separate tab for it, and each route shows both servers it uses.

Pick a route and connect the usual way. The kill switch and your other settings behave the same as on a single server.

  • Open the server list in the VPN Club app
  • Go to the Double VPN tab
  • Choose a route and tap Connect

Common questions

Is Double VPN part of Basic?

No. It comes with Plus and Pro.

Will Double VPN make me anonymous?

No. It adds a server to the route, but any service you sign in to still knows the account is yours.

Why does Double VPN feel slow?

Your traffic crosses two servers instead of one. Pick a route closer to you, or switch back to a single server when speed matters.
