Picking a server location

Distance and the country sites see

With VPN Club on, your requests stop at our server first and only then continue to the site. Each extra kilometer adds a little to the round trip, so a faraway server can feel sluggish even on a good line.

The server also sets your apparent country. Websites read the address of the VPN Club server, so they treat you as someone browsing from wherever that server stands.

Matching the server to the task

For daily use, the nearest city usually gives the quickest response. When a service only opens in one country, connect to a server there. On a trip abroad, a server back home lets you use your bank and local services as you normally would.

Bear in mind that some services restrict VPN traffic. Being in the right country helps, but it cannot guarantee every service will load.

Dedicated IP countries and switching

Pro comes with one dedicated IP, an address assigned to you alone. You set its country at purchase: South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France or the Netherlands.

Whatever plan you have, all 62 cities in 44 countries are open to you. Switch in the app as often as you like. There is no cap.

Common questions

Is there a limit on switching servers?

No. Disconnect, choose a different city in the app and connect again. It costs nothing extra and does not shorten your plan.

Which server will give me the best speed?

Most of the time, the nearest one, because less distance means less delay. If a close server still feels slow, try another city in that country, or set the protocol to WireGuard.

Why do speeds differ between servers?

Distance matters most. The path your provider takes to that country and how busy the server is at that hour also play a part, so the same server can feel different at different times of day.

What if the country I need is missing?

Log in and tell us in the Support tab of the dashboard. You do not need an active plan for that. These requests help us decide where to add servers next.
