What you will find in the app
There is a full server list, a favorites tab for the places you use most and one large connect button. WireGuard suits everyday use. IKEv2 is built into iOS and holds the connection well when reception is patchy.
If you have Plus or Pro, ad and tracker blocking and malicious site blocking work in every app on the phone, not only Safari. The filtering happens at VPN Club's DNS, before anything reaches the app.
A good starting setup
Switch on automatic reconnect. After the phone wakes up or jumps to another network, the tunnel returns without you opening the app. On airport and cafe Wi-Fi this is the setting that matters most.
Battery going down faster than normal? Stay on WireGuard. It does less work in the background than the other protocols.
If something goes wrong
No VPN badge in the status bar? Go to Settings, General, VPN and Device Management, and make sure VPN Club is the selected configuration. Removing it there and signing in to the app again fixes most cases.
Low Power Mode can hold back reconnection after the phone has been idle for a long time. If the tunnel is missing, open the app once and it reconnects.
